"...This fast-paced story takes on speed and leads readers through a mystery that deepens in surprising ways. It’s a great YA mystery from a promising new voice."
--Kathryn Burak, 2013 Edgar YA Finalist
"First-time novelist Dobson gives Kami an energetic voice that’s heavy on quirk. The story isn’t short on excitement, but the frenetic narrative can be a struggle to absorb." Yes! They got it! Rewire your brain and enjoy the ride! Quote from Publisher's Weekly Review
5 Star Review from science fiction/fantasy author Dennis McKiernan with the single word, "OUTSTANDING." The first to bring forward the fairy tales of our past into our grown lives today! An Iraq tank division nicknamed themselves after his science fiction series! I love you Dennis! I met Dennis at TusCon Science Fiction Convention over four years ago, and he's provided advice on writing, and on the business of writing.
Chaos Theory is a fast-paced mystery with great characters. Although the mystery takes center stage, Kami and her friends have unique personalities, and it was great fun getting to know them all. I really enjoyed this mystery, and look forward to reading more of this new series. Review from Alice Berger of Bergers Book Reviews! http://bergersbookreviews.com/2015/04/18/chaos-theory/
I really loved the characters in this book and the underlying theme of unintended consequences. As Kami teases through the problems in one stranger's life, her own well-built walls begin to crumble. Dobson provides a solid plot in addition to much food for thought later. Well done."
Johanna Harkness, author & winner of Moonbeam Award YA
Chaos Theory is both a love story and a detective story with smart girls, sexy guys, dangerous criminals, spirited horses, and a secret room among the stacks. A great read!
-- Sharelle Byars Moranville - ALA nominated author
Chaos Theory is a gripping mystery that will have readers clamoring for the next book in this exciting series.
-- Jan Blazanin, author of A&L Do Summer and Fairest of Them All
Chaos Theory is a strongly paced, character-driven detective story. The engaging casework, science, and equestrian threads are deftly braided into a story with real emotional depth." --Mary K. Pleis, MFA and Regional Advisor, SCBWI NE
...Chaos Theory is a great high school mystery. The characters are interesting, the pacing is good, and the plot is engaging. There is plenty of action and suspense to propel readers all the way to the end. ...I am adding it to my classroom library wish list in anticipation of publication, and I already know several students who will thoroughly enjoy this read. There is some language and sensuality that make this most appropriate for the ninth grade and up. -- unsolicited Goodreads review by Nicole
Chaos Theory is a modern day thriller for the smart reader. As an adult, I am used to cruising through YA books, [but]...this book offers something different, something YAs (and parents/teacher/librarians) can relate to and engage their brains. This is a must have for TAG students or a confident YA reader.
